Ktisis Peptides

About Ktisis

Research-grade peptides and compounds for laboratory use only.

What a peptide is

A peptide is a short chain of amino acids — the same building blocks that make up the proteins in every living thing. Because the chain is short, a peptide can be made to a precise sequence, and that sequence is what gives each one its character. Some mimic signals the body already uses; others were designed in a lab to study a single pathway in isolation.

That precision is exactly why peptides are studied so heavily. A researcher can ask a very narrow question and get a very narrow answer. It is also why handling matters: the same short chain that makes a peptide specific also makes it fragile.

How our vials arrive

Every vial ships as a freeze-dried powder. Dry, a peptide is stable and travels well; reconstituted, it is not. Bacteriostatic water is added at the point of use, which is why we sell it alongside the compounds rather than shipping anything pre-mixed. Nothing in the catalog is a finished product, and nothing is prepared for you.

Our mission

Research supply is usually either cheap and opaque or careful and impossible to order from. We wanted the third option: a short, honest catalog, prices printed plainly, and an order that takes under a minute. If a compound is on hand, it says so and it ships in one to two business days. If it is not, you request it and we take care of the rest — the same effortless order either way.

We would rather tell you a compound is coming than pretend it is on the shelf. Everything here is sold for laboratory research use only, and we say so on every page because it is true.
